Meet the Letter ARtist

Originally from Northern Ireland, I have been based in Leicester since 2004. I always drew as a child but it was only in 2019 that I picked up a pencil and sketch pad again. Over the last two years I have been refining my skills and I now draw all my art on an iPad through using ProCreate.

 
The personalised pet portraits started when I was sitting one day racking my brain as I needed to get two gifts for that person who is so difficult to buy for. As I scrolled through my phone I came across a picture of their dogs and thought about getting some personalised name art commissioned but I didn't see anything that stood out. I took the photo, started drawing and soon I had completed my first digitally hand drawn prints. I love receiving the photos of people's or their friend's pets and deciding whether the name works better with them standing or sitting or facing to the left or the right and whether I can fit all the letters into the shape. Since this website was established in 2020 I have only once been unable to fit the name of the pet into it's shape

 
About 12 months later a friend asked me to create some modern digitally hand drawn prints using an animal shape for his new nieces. He had seen the concept of the personalised name art with the pets. He was thrilled with the result. 

 
I haven't limited myself to pet and children art. I am an Emergency Medicine doctor and I have also sketched some Emergency Medicine cartoons giving a satirical view 

of working in this medical speciality. I have also drawn some cardio-respiratory art. All the medical art is free to download to be used in medical education teaching .

 
I was also diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2016 when I was 41 years of age and I have used art to help educate about the condition.

 
Designing and creating the artwork which is personal to you is something that I really enjoy and it helps my concentration and focus. I know that there are plenty of websites out there that can provide all of this artwork but I believe that the artwork I produce is unique, finished to a high standard and most of all you get to be involved in process from the start. It is a simple concept but what you end up with is a modern and memorable piece of artwork from Jonny Acheson Art.

 
I have an eye for design and the attention to detail whichever piece of personalised artwork you decide to commission in the end. I run a policy in which if you do not like any of the drafts that I send you then you do not have to pay. In fact I am one of the few websites in which you do not have to pay upfront, I only take payment once we have agreed on the final piece and you are 100% happy with it.
